This programme gives guaranteed progression* to Year 1 of a wide range of undergraduate degrees or the International Year One in Business & Management both starting in September.
Who is this programme designed for
The Intensive IFP is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at Coventry university. All students who successfully complete the Intensive IFP are guaranteed placement on a suitable programme of undergraduate study at the host partner university. The duration of the Intensive IFP is six months.
How long will I study for
The Intensive IFP is divided into two terms (14 and 10 weeks respectively). Students undertake between 3 and 10 hours per module of contact time per week. English language delivery will necessarily vary according to the ability and needs of the student, and will be investigated on entry testing. The total contact hours may be up to 30 hours.
What will I study
This programme includes English and three academic subject modules. English will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects, as well as being taught separately. If you need additional English support to develop your English language, further support classes are available.
There are two academic pathways to choose from and you will study the pathway most suited to your chosen progression degree. Academic skills relevant to the specific subject area will be taught to help you prepare for university study.
